We appreciate your support. The list of identified spots for free saplings across the city will be published soon. There are few designated areas of plantation, but the success of the drive would be to identify a location on your own in your locality, it could be the front yard of your house, or the church, or the local park etc.

It is required to take permission from someone to plant saplings in parks(DDA housing)? Can we plant saplings grown at our own homes?

@Rajesh Malik Brar Square forest nursery is very near to Janakpuri opposite to AFMC Dhaula Kuan but if you aren’t registered RWA/NGO they will give you maximum 20 saplings of jamun/neem and other better varieties of palm,rose,adenium etc are not distributed even to registered organisations.
But if you are Registered or Could arrange an Letter of recommendation then:-
You could avail 150-200 saplings of neem/jamun as they are only available there for distribution.

the DDA is covering CHHOTA NALLAH in jangpura-A-pant nagar belt this has generated in large chunk of land around that now connected to habitat around.Soon that could be looted by land mafia,slum lords etc.We can convert that into GREEN HUB with ur help.

There is a big area for the tree plantation at Mathura road metro line. Delhi Government had declared a green belt from Ashram to Badarpur during Common Wealth Games. But don’t know where that green belt is. There are only few plants. Nothing is there. If you are planning for plantation please consider that green belt and do more and more plantation. As before starting metro work there were so many big trees and they cut it down. Now they did not plant as much as they cutted.

There is a god area for the plantation we can plant big trees. I hope you wills consider my request.

Hi,
I contacted Ganga Petro – Dwarka ( as mentioned in the sapling collection points map) for saplings. However, i was told that they dont have any saplings as yet.

I am interested in the plantation drive and want to plant saplings. If saplings are not made available at the collection points mentioned, i am afraid we will end up wasting our time!

Please advise.

Sir, I am residing in BD Block of Sarojini Nagar, I wish that the parks of BD block are not properly planted. So I request you to kindly plant neem or some other trees inside the parks of BD Block, Sarojini Nagar, and trim the big trees.

Kailash Kunj is a small DDA residential complex located in Greater Kailash- Part 1 and along the main road leading to Nehru Place.

We have already planted over 60 Ashok trees in our neighbourhood. We now need about 20 saplings of Largestroemia Indica bearing flowers of such colours as red, pink, purple, white, etc.

It would be greatly appreciated if we could be advised on where to get these saplings.

saplings are not yet made available to Dwarka. I have spoken to H S Meena, sec-11 dwarka. He said the plants are not yet come to this station or other dwarka stations. kindly provide the nearest sapling collection centre near to dwarka.

I visited dilshad garden metro station and found the bad condition of saplings. They were lying at ground with no one to take care of them. Moreover the leaves were eaten up by the insects. There was no info or poster to motivate people.

I went with my kids to collect saplings from the designated spots….sector 22 and sector 9 dwarka….but found nobody there at the booth although the booth was nicely decorated. Also i called up the representatives whose nos. have been mentioned on the website but they were also having no clue. Please let us know from where and when can we get the saplings during this weekend!

KESHAV PURAM AREA CONSISTS OF 3&4 STORIES DDA FLATS HENCE THE TALL TREES START GIVING TROUBLE TO THE RESIDENTS AND THESE TROUBLED RESIDENTS CUT , BURN AND UPROOT THESE TREES. THERE SHOULD BE A PROPER ARRANGEMENT FOR THE SECURITIES OF THESE SAPLINGS AND IT WILL BE BETTER IF MORE EMPHASIS IS GIVEN ON PLANTATION OF HERBS AND SHRUBS.

We have undertaken a “Plantation Drive” as a part of our Environment protection programme.

We require saplings for planting the same in areas such as Vasant Kunj,Rangpuri Pahari,etc.but the saplings are not available at the Chhatarpur Metro Station.

We have spoken today to Mr.Ashwini,Asst. Manager of the Chhatarpur Metro Station who has said that they have yet to receive the saplings from the Environment & Forest Deptt.

We would appreciate your help in providing the saplings directly to our campus at Vasant Kunj such that we can commence the Plantation Drive.

Hi,
I am Sambit, an MBA student and live in Malviya Nagar. I spoke to few govt schools in this locality and the teachers are really excited to make plantation in their schools along with their students. I had some concerns regarding what they will think, but as I spoke they showed great enthusiasm for the plantation drive.

I spoke to DMRC person in Malviya Nagar who told me that saplings are kept by Govt officials outside the metro and he doesnt have any more idea about it. I visited the metro station today but didnt find any saplings.

I need around 500 odd saplings for the time being in these schools. Can you pls provide me information if it can be delivered in the govt schools in malviya nagar directly. Pls give me some contact no where I can contact directly reg this.

Few of my friends are enrolling other schools in Delhi to join the plantation drive. So we need you support to provide saplings in timely manner. Pls provide your support for this greater cause for humanity.

I contacted most of the munbers given here but came to know that plants are still not available in any of the distribution centres in south, west and central Delhi.Everytime I call they say it will take time to get the plants delivered or truck has not come etc. Please help, I am from south Delhi.

I am trying to get free sapling plants but i dont find anywhere. I think as usual these plants are being taken by some people who will later sell them and earn. I think this will also turn out to be a scam ‘podha ghotala’

Thanks for trying to be a part of the initiative and welcome to the club of ‘tree planters’. A truck delivers 300 saplings every 10-12 hours in the distribution centres but the demand of saplings is too high in each of the sapling collection points that the saplings get taken away within hours. We are working on a solution for this. Request you to keep in touch with the sapling distribution centre and get a sapling as soon as the truck arrives. Keep up the spirit of planting trees. Thanks.
